Adeniyi Olangunju, PhD

Adeniyi Olagunju is a Tenure Track Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Liverpool. He is a member of the Centre of Excellence for Long-acting Therapeutics (CELT) where he leads the Perinatal Pharmacology Group. His research is focused on broadening the understanding of drug safety and efficacy during pregnancy and lactation. Working across three domains (clinical research, in silico modelling and human-relevant in vitro modelling), his goal is to generate actionable knowledge that will facilitate early recommendations for safe use of long-acting medicines during the perinatal period. Adeniyi studied pharmacy at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, Master of Research in Biomedical Science & Translational Medicine and PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool.
