Kimberly Scarsi, PharmD, MS

Kimberly Scarsi is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s (UNMC) College of Pharmacy. Her research program focuses on optimizing pharmacologic therapies for persons living with HIV, with an emphasis on global health and sex/gender related issues. Related to TB, Dr. Scarsi currently serves as the vice-chair or protocol pharmacologist for three ongoing studies in the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) evaluating novel TB treatment or prevention strategies. Dr. Scarsi also maintains an independent, NIH-funded research program focused on using pharmacologic strategies to optimize contraceptive therapies in combination with antiretrovirals.  She serves as a clinical pharmacist at the UNMC HIV Clinic, and she is a member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents and the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council.
